Desperately Seeking Flair

This is where I work. I spend all day sitting in front of a huge empty desk, staring at a huge empty wall. The other two women in my office have got electronic picture frames, lamps, globes, candy dishes...I feel significantly under-accessorized. SO...please leave your decor suggestions via comment. Gracias.

PS: for those who care, I really am loving my job! Aside from the bare desk, everything is going beyond splendidly!

Just put up the pictures of Brittany and Eric that I sentyou. That'll add some spice to your walls. JK I'm a little decoratingly challenged. So don't listen to me. I'm glad you like your job. I miss you already.

Have you considered plant? I heard they provide oxygen. You can also name it and speak to it... in case you start to ignore everyone you know and become a workaholic because you love your new job so much.

Of course you are enjoying your new job, obviously because it is like the coolest job ever! Well I know what you could do to spice up your office. You just need some pictures of me and possibly phil up on your wall. The candy dish...I am not so sure how I feel about that one. You never know whose filthy hands are grabbing your treats while you are not looking. Maybe do something like a gumball machine or recess pieces dispenser. That is much more sanitary and looks more decorative. So any Dwights or Michaels in your office yet? Or better yet are those ladies anything like Phillis?

My desk always had a lot of Diet Coke/Diet Dr. Pepper cans strewn about, a big bottle of Purell, lotion to counteract the dry skin caused by Purell (but not too smelly... you need to be courteous of your colleagues), individually wrapped candies (Jolly Ranchers, Starbursts, and Peppermint Patties are popular choices), and as many pictures of Michael that would fit under the glass and in frames. Purell is key, though... and maybe you can bedazzle the bottle to make it more flair-y.

Miss your face.

Meg-gan! I am glad you have a cool new job, albeit with a blank desk (I have been here 9 months and mine is still blank, what does that say for flair?) I actually looked you up on Facebook to ask about Nordy openings, because I am getting burned out here fast...oh well...you are on to bigger and better things.

Mike and I have a blog too-- theboyandme.blogspot.com.

Have a great day! (try putting some cool postcards?) But not cats...no frolicking cats anywhere...don't be Angela!

maybe you could put up post-its with your favorite things i've said...or pictures of me...or even articles of clothing you've secretly stolen from me...

Meg, glad to hear it's going well! I suggest a flower arrangement. That always keeps me happy at my desk. Of course photos and nice cards, a cool jar/ceramic jar to hold pens, and a cute lamp. Good luck!

My first "welcome home from Jordan" present to myself is a house. Second, the couch to put in the house.
