As I have been given the gift of free weekends, I decided to unleash my crafty side. I (finally) found a new bedspread a week ago and decided that I needed some new pillows to gussy up my boudoir.
I started by making two large square pillows with black and white toile fabric (side note: I personally believe that toile can look super tacky, but I figured that a small amount could be a fun and kitchy touch). I then added the pink grosgrain ribbon to bring in a little more color.
*the rug in the background is also a new find.

looks pretty fancy to me...i LOVE craft projects!!!
I am still amazed at all the work you did. And thanks for my own tailor-made pouch filled with diamonds.
LOL!!! My duvet cover is made out of the exact toile your pillow is. I love that you said it was tacky in large amounts. Ha ha ha ha ha...I've been thinking about making a new one, I guess you just confirmed that for me.
Oh and your bed looks great. If you wanna make some extra pillows in the future or a window awning to match let me know and you can use my blanket...oh wait that might be too much and you don't want your room to look tacky. I really am not offended. I think it's halarious.
faan-ceey. a saturday well spent.
I love that you are putting your time away from the mall to good use! I have had some spare time lately due to partial unemployment and have pursued various crafting projects as well to keep me busy! I feel like Martha Stewart minus the jail time...
VERY cute! I'm making my blog private, so if you want to, send me your email address to shanicherie@gmail.com.
I'd kill for your skill.
Don't worry, I'm not mad at you. I really was thinking of making a new cover. I really thought it was funny. :)
