Pretty as a Peacock

My desk officially has flare. There is still a lot more that I want to do, but I thought I'd post pictures of my progress.

Close up of my peacock bookends-- one of the many benefits of my love of treasure hunting at Ross.

...The other side of my desk. If you're wondering about that lovely scene on the right...

Thank you Asian Gifts. This little gem of a picture lights up from behind, creating the illusion of rippling water. AND there is the sound of running water, which I turn off so that I don't feel like I have to run to the bathroom every two seconds. It was supposed to be kitchy and funny, but I must admit that I really do find it soothing.

This candy bowl makes sure that I have lots of friends. My desk is a little tucked away, and I have no shame in luring people over to me for conversation. So far it's worked like a dream and I'm the most popular gal in the office.

you and your candy. Just like Pam Beesley and the Old Hag from Hansel and Gretel.
I like.

I will admit, I was a little taken by the Asian art.

Treasure hunting at Ross is one of my very favorite things! Especially when it means you are finding something fabulous like peacock bookends, which are definitely an underrated home decor item (and TOTALLY practical, if that's your issue...) if you ask me. And I was wondering when I can come be your work friend and have some desk treats?

Props to the flair.

Amazing. Candy will do it every time (not to mention your good taste and non-corporate style...). Or maybe it's the Asian art that's actually luring them over.

Oooh. Pretty bookends. All that is missing in your office is a clear stapler..

Oh, and I agree that someday you will want to buy a computer screen.
