Raindrops keep falling on my head...
So I went to Seattle for the weekend and had a fantastic time. I went shopping, ate delicious food, went to a friend's wedding reception, and hung out with family. And I have no pictures to blog. Zero. I have decided that the reasons for my lack of photographic memorabilia is threefold:
1. I grew up in Seattle, and therefore find it unnecessary, not to mention slightly embarrassing, to snap photos at the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, etc.
2. Weekend with the fam= remarkable amount of laziness. When I wasn't napping, I was schlepping around town in air-dried hair and the same outfit I'd worn all weekend. No need to visually document that...
3. I forget to take pictures until after the fact. Always.
I did, however manage to sneak a couple of pictures of the most perfect flight ever on my way back to Utah. We flew right next to Mt. Rainier as the sun rose and it was absolutely breathtaking. I love the Pacific Northwest!
Oh, and 30 Rock reruns were playing for the entire flight. And I got a whole can of Diet Coke instead of that measly shot glass they normally pass out.
...AND no one stole my window seat.

An Open Letter
Dear Lady,
I, like you, have a strong preference for window seats. The difference is, I planned ahead and reserved the specific seat you were napping in for myself. You probably thought you got away with this because I didn't say anything to you, but I knew exactly what was going on. I knew that you were pretending to be asleep, because you got on only 4 people ahead of me and no one can fall asleep that fast. I know that you left your issue of People en espanol out in plain sight so I would assume a language barrier existed between us and not even attempt to communicate. I know that you have some sort of esp that alerted you to the fact that confrontational situations give me intense anxiety and I hate to talk to people when I travel, which is why you sat in my seat without hesitation and I sat on the aisle with nothing to rest my head against, leaving me to suffer whiplash as I kept flinching in my sleep, terrified of the possibility of waking up with my head on your shoulder.
Hope you had a nice flight!
Meggan

Current Events
I'm not going to blog about the recent Presidential debates or the bailout or the fear that Sarah Palin puts in my soul ...this is FAR more important right now.
Let the countdown begin!

Separation Anxiety
So I (finally) made the switch to iPhone, which is great and all, but I am really missing my Blackberry. Someone even offered to buy it from me but I can't seem to part. I feel like it's that scene in Toy Story where Wheezy, the toy penguin with the broken squeaker, gets put in the yard sale and it is breaking my heart. Anyone else have issues like this?
