For the most DIVINE chocolate chip cookies on the PLANET go to Levain Bakery on the corner of 74th and Amsterdam. You will DIE! Also, go to this little shop I blogged about. It's teensy but has cute vintagy reproduction dresses. It's called ENZ's and it's on 125 2nd AVE. The owner is a hilarious betsey johnson type. you'll love. Have a blast and MWAH!
Meggan!!! We went to NY a couple of weeks ago and had a GREAT time. Have you been before? We pretty much hit all the tourist spots, Magnolias, Time Square, Central Park, 30 Rock, Statue of Liberty, the Manhattan Temple, Brooklyn Bridge, China Town, PARSONS! etc etc. We have a ton of pictures and would be happy to share....have a great time! well since you're an art history major you'll have to hit up some of the museums. the moma is free on fridays, courtesy of target.
oooh what else. i think most of the stores are decorated for the holiday so you'll want to walk down 5th ave.

show taping?
i just like walking and wandering around and seeing how it can change so much block by block.

sort of an nyc scavenger hunt, if you will:
-have an arab cab driver tell you where to get good falafel. i mean really really good falafel.
-try to find a hot-dog stand with regular yellow mustard.
-go on a tour of historic amphitheaters.
-buy a watch or sunglasses from a guy selling them out of his trenchcoat.
-track down a taping of gg.
-buy shit.
-get yourself a cheesy nyc shotglass. oh, wait, you probably already have one.
-give a mugger a "cameraphone".
