Segs and The City

Once upon a time I was introduced to a man named Gob Bluth, who taught me that the coolest mode of personal transportation was a vehicle known as the Segway. Ever since, I have been obsessed with these little fellas...there is a guy who rides one all around Provo, and every time I see him I almost get into a car accident.

So last weekend I took a little vacation to our nation's capital, and I thought, "what better way to experience the heart of America than from a Segway?" So yup, we took a scoot around town and it was the funnest time EVER.

My reccommendation: do it. There were definately good parts and bad parts (we were more interested in playing then actually seeing the sights, so we really didn't need a tour guide telling us silly stories about presidential parties on the ellipse), but it was a great time and I am now saving up for my very own scooter.

I love that the segway is in every picture. Only you Meggan. Hey, I'm working tonight-you?

Meggan you are seriously the funniest girl. I cant help but laugh at those pictures. You know the political campaign ads with the politicians ridding those in that same spot? I wish I was there. That is SOOO hilarious! I bet you had such a great time. I want one! I love how you put safety first and didn't forget to wear a helmet. You wouldn't want to lose control of those things.

In response to the person's comment above, no, you would not want to loose control of a segway. They can go 12.5 miles per hour! (when not in turtle mode...)

I hope it was all that you dreamed it would be!

I really hope you get one! But I wonder about driving one in Provo with all the big trucks and terrible drivers. I might be fearful for your life.
