It is with a heavy heart that I present today's music monday. Yesterday was the day that many people who know me have been waiting for....the day that my poor car died. She wasn't pretty, but that old Acura and I had a zillion memories together-- learning the meaning of "left turn yield on green" when I was 14 and driving through downtown Coeur d'Alene with a concerned father riding shotgun, a roadtrip to Seattle with two friends when we were seniors in high school and feeling very grown up, a solo roadtrip to California, a fourth of July Patriotism tour through Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore, and being pulled over at least 14 times and only getting one ticket. She was a champ.
Today I found out that I had lost my dear friend. Time of death, 11:47am. So I am abandoning my original playlist and instead mourning through this musical eulogy.
Track 1
Track 2
Track 3
Track 4
And as the grand finale......my living will insists that this song is played at my own funeral (preferably by the great Sir Elton himself), but it feels beyond fitting for and occasion such as this.
